This panel will first address the prevention and preparation elements of data security and explain why board involvement is necessary. The panel will outline the laws and regulations currently in play and highlight best practices regarding the development and implementation of internal information security policies and incident response plans.

The panel will then present several interactive breach response tabletop exercises. Each hypothetical will frame a particular issue that may arise in the context of a security incident or data breach, and will provide the audience with practical tips for application in the event of a cybersecurity incident at their respective companies.

This panel will guide the audience through the timeline of an M&A transaction from the unique perspective of the company’s board of directors and provide an eye-opening behind the scenes look at the internal workings of a board in action when dealing with an M&A transaction.
